Andreea Tron is the founder of Tron Atelier, an experimental space focused on creating textile landscapes and turning them into series of objects that may teach us to care better for ourselves and the environment.
Her educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Architecture at TU Eindhoven, a semester of urban studies within the KTH Stockholm, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urban Planning in Bucharest. Although her studies focus mainly on the built environment, a professional experience in Brazil introduced her to craft-based sustainable design.
In 2017 she returned to Romania and she focused on natural textile dyeing and crafts. In the beginning, textile dyeing with natural pigments began as a personal quest for her, a meditation exercise to connect her to nature and the village world. Yet, after a couple of workshops in Asia and a crash course in Spain, natural textile dyeing has become a clear and natural form of expression for her.
